GeoWoodstock X will be in Sellersburg, IN over Memorial Day weekend.
I've already logged my "Will Attend". Hope to have a good OCUS turn out. As the time approaches, I'll be sure to set up a "flash mob" type event for OCUS members. We had a meet up at IX, but for some reason I didn't think of setting it up as an actual loggable event.

Yeah, why didn't we think of making it a loggable event? Oh well, do that next year. I'm sure I won't be there, I was only on a daytrip to GWIX because it was 80 miles from home. And the only time I'll probably ever go again is if it comes within 100 miles.
You should investigate having an OCUS table!! Give stuff away, promote the website and such. Heck, not much different than a coin-giving Geotrail having a table. And Garmin of course snuck an opencaching.com banner on the back of their tent. I doubt an alternative website has ever had a "table", but worth looking into, I suppose.

I may actually be in this area next year! We're headed to Yellowstone National Park, leaving the Rio Grande Valley on April 2nd. At the rate we travel, I figure we should be in Illinois (have to stop at Elkhart!) some time in May. Our reservation at Yellowstone starts on June 26th.

That would be awesome! If it is looking good, as we get closer, I may even have to try to arrange an offsite OCUS event - or at least a "flash mob" sometime during the main GWS. Maybe both.RVRoadTrip wrote:I may actually be in this area next year! We're headed to Yellowstone National Park, leaving the Rio Grande Valley on April 2nd. I'd support and help staff an OCUS table at Geowoodstock X! I'm not sure what the table rental costs were this year, but combined with some form of coin, sticker and patch sales I bet it might break even. Besides, Geowoodstock is supposed to be a "geocaching" event not a geocaching.com event.

Garmin did have a table promoting their site (and their GPS's, I assume). I never did get back by it to see what they were doing with it.
