Geocaching Research

Post by eforehand » Sat Dec 15, 2012 7:05 pm

Dear Geocaching Community,

Our group at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) is conducting research on Geocaching. More specifically, we are gathering data on what motivates Geocachers to play the game, based on personal Geocaching experiences.

If you would like to support our efforts by providing your views, please fill out the short survey below. The survey is anonymous, and should only take about five minutes. Your participation will help us to gain a broader understanding of Geocaching motivations.

We thank you in advance!

This sounds very interesting, will the results be available to the community or if one provides their email?

Thank you for your interest. I'm not sure how that will work. I will speak to my professor and get back to you.

Me? I'm interested in how this hobby can interest people in local history. I put caches in historical locations and give people some history stories. Based on our log entries people like the mix.

We're doing it again. The 3rd Annual Presidents Day geocaching tour. Find out how you can do a tour in your area and share your story.
