Two New Virtuals on Fort Belvoir (VA)

Post by DudleyGrunt » Thu Sep 02, 2010 4:13 pm

I've published two new virtual caches today on Fort Belvoir. Although, it a controlled access Army installation, anyone can get on by just showing a drivers license and going through the proper gate. One of the sites is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is contemporary of one of its neighbors, Mount Vernon. The other is an example of an eco-friendly housing using the Army pursued in the 1940's.

Belvoir Plantation
Thermo-Con House

I've done a TerraCaching virtual at the Ordnance Museum at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, so figured I'd at make it a two-fer here. Despite the access control, there is no reasons people with no Army affiliation can't come do these and I've tried to put the pertinent information they'd need on the cache pages.

Come find them!
