Find members

Besides the members link on the forums is there a way to see the members of the main site? It would be neat to be able to see who is in a certain radius from your home coords.

I think you may run into privacy issues there

I don't think that would be a good idea. Use the Division forums and ask for people to say where they are. If they want to, they will. :)

Biggest problem is only a very few people will visit the forums. The members list on these forums list 763 people and about 20-30 have posted. How about making it an optional field in the profile, something you check when setting up your account. If I want people to see that I'm on here I allow it, if I don't I deny it.

By the way, anybody notice Jeremy as well as MissJenn have opencaching accounts? I hope they participate.

Yup. As well as a couple of GS forum mods.

There is a place for location, but since it is not formatted, you can type anything in there (or not), making it not useful for searching. An "allow people to find me" sort of option, based on the home coords they've entered, would be interesting. Obviously, it would have to be an "opt in" sort of thing, but could be good feature.

PCMedic from Naviache is also a member. I'm sure they are all gearing up to become very involved, here. Seriously, it does make sense that they'd want to check out the site.

I do not see either AngryKid or ScottO from TerraCaching, though.

Actually AK is busy "working on 2.0" and Scott is busy fielding posts by frustrated users and trying to do what he can.
