How are "abandoned/orphaned" caches handled?

Post by glorkar » Fri Aug 20, 2010 11:00 am

Say somebody lists a cache on OC. A few months go by and they lose interest in the hobby, but never archive their cache(s.) How will these be handled? Should there be a time frame in place that is effective after a number of needs maintenance logs? After that time is up the powers that be can remove the listing?

There are several things in place for this. The cache can be adopted, users can flag the cache for review and the system will automatically archive the cache if the owner fails to respond to automated notices.
