Bad Date Format When Disabling Cache

Post by DudleyGrunt » Thu Sep 16, 2010 9:59 pm

I set my Islands cache to Not Availble and when I went to edit the resulting log entry, with additional comments, I got a not that I was using the wrong date format, even though I did not try to change it.

I also noted that the automatic log for the was time stamped with UMT time (5 hours ahead of EDT).

I changed the time zone on the server to CST. I had done that once before, not sure how it got back to UMT.

I went to your Islands cache and edited your latest log entry (added a space to the end of the sentence) and it saved properly for me. Can you describe with more detail what you encountered? Page you were on, fields you edited, etc.

I edited the cache page to mark it Temporarily Unavailable.
Then attempted to edit the resulting log to give details.
When I clicked Submit, I got the error about the invalid time format.
I just tried it again with the same log (added "Test") and it worked fine.

Guess the Time Zone correction helped.
