If you zoom into Level 18 or higher with the satellite view enabled, the cache disappears. This is also the level when I see the angle of view change from straight down to around a ~45 degree view. Not sure if this is new, but I'd think I'd have noticed this before. I played with this and it only seems to be a problem in some areas. The ones where the view does change, which seem to be more urban ones.

Sorry, forgot to reply to this. I agree some areas. I haven't found one where it does apply yet. You got one I can look at?

WTF BIT Harmons Park OU075C
Got to Hanover, MD on the map and it'll be just below the default display. Will probably do it with others. Only on satellite view.

And sorry again, busy with this contest and planning a local event and stuff. Before I even saw your reply, I was figuring you were talking about Central New Jersey because of your big OCNA trip, and I did zoom in on a couple around Westfield, it tilted down to the 45 degree view, and yep, caches disappeared. I'll have to look up who that guy from OCPL who fixed our maps is, and ask if they've experienced that in Europe.DudleyGrunt wrote:WTF BIT Harmons Park OU075C

And I'm sure eventually when Google Maps are upgraded in all areas, you're going to tilt into that 45 degree view at max zoom.

I'm sure. I do see that the Munzee maps do not behave the same way and Munzees still appear when you get to the tilt zoom level. It's not going to be that precise, maybe, but...

Re: Cache Disappears on Map
Not really the same issue but I seem to have a missing cache on the map
http://opencaching.us/viewcache.php?cacheid=1784
When viewed from the cache page it is fine ( take note of where it is)
When viewing the "map of caches" it does not appear regardless of zoom level
Settings are to hide only archived and temp unavailable but still not there when all are de-selected.
Maybe it is just me on my system but the rest seem to be there.
Doubt many in the area are looking for it but if they did while playing tourist I question if it is showing up.
Do any of you see it?
I was just looking at the map in general and had noted that several south of Raleigh NC were gone so I tried to show archived caches but they still did not appear. While I was looking around I found (or rather didn't find) the Frisco Futuro cache.

Re: Cache Disappears on Map
I can see it OK. You're not filtering out your own caches are you? Dumb question, I know, but...
Jim, any ideas?

Nope. I see the rest of mine. Had all filters off.
Weird. Maybe I'll try on another computer

Oh, I'm sorry, forgot about the thread bump. No, I'm having no issues. Any news on your end, TH?DudleyGrunt wrote:I can see it OK. You're not filtering out your own caches are you? Dumb question, I know, but...

Re: Cache Disappears on Map
OK found it and all those missing caches south of Raleigh.
Had to check "show without score". Thought i tried that since I checked and unchecked all of them at one time while I was looking. Must have moved too fast.
I logged in in my slightly older Surrogate account to see if it showed up there. It did. Then I compared the filters. Since all my others had been scored they were showing up.
