Seek a cache failing to produce groundspeak GPX file

Post by k3iv » Sat May 05, 2012 11:19 pm

I'm getting an error message when I try to generate a GPX file for search results.

Here's an example. I select "seek a cache", enter zip code 77845 with a radius of 25 miles. On the listing page, I click under "Caches from all pages" the "GPX GC" link. I then get a 404 not found page with an error message saying "The requested URL /ocplgc296085.gpx was not found on this server."

I just tried it and it worked find with Firefox. It gives me a box to open (with GSAK) or save it. Both work.

When I try with IE9, I get the 404 page. If I right-click and "Save target as", it works fine.

Try this as a work around. I'll see if we can find a fix.

I couldn't get the workaround to work on Mac Chrome or Safari. Things do seem to work on Firefox.

Thanks. I'll see if we can get that resolved.

I have noticed that saving the query and then generating the GPX file from the list of saved queriesseems to work.
