Sounds like a good idea.dudleygrunt wrote:Thanks. Will do. I've already been promoting the site via Twitter, Facebook and the forums I mentioned above.
I'm considering creating a single trhead in the division thread for local caching organization that cold be pinned to the top, instead of having a separate thread for each group. What do you guys think? Easier to do now, instead of waiting until we have a dozen or so threads for individual groups in each division.

I added a single thread per state for Division 9.dudleygrunt wrote:Thanks. Will do. I've already been promoting the site via Twitter, Facebook and the forums I mentioned above.

I like the "common thread" idea Just changed D3. Now I have to find the other organizations in my area!

Re: State / Division Forums
What I'm doing for the Div 5, South Atlantic forum.
Other than the ones that I am personally familiar with, I am browsing the Groundspeak listing of organizations for links, but am being careful not to copy any of the text from there. Some of these groups will even have links to other groups in their state.
I'm trying to find some text on each site that gives a brief description of themselves. If you look, I'm also making the logo for each group a link, plus including a link in the text below.
ex.
(At least in Firefox, you can right click on an image and select "Copy Image Location".
One think I haven't figured out how to do is how to make the "organizations" thread sticky so it is always the first thread in the forum.
Finally, once I finish (for now, at least) getting all the orgs listed, I plan to contact each group, see if they have any updated info they'd like included and see if they can add us to their links page. Some of these groups are very Groundspeak-centric, while some seem more open to being a "small g" geocaching group.
