Wild life...
Been encountering quite a bit of it up close and personal lately. The other day there was a bat in my bathroom (guess it didn't see the "h"!) a morning dove near ground zero that looked incredibly fake but turned out to be real, a squirrel at ground zero staring me down from about 6 feet away, and today when I woke up there was a hawk in the tree outside my apartment. Very cool.

SQUEEEE!!!!!! It's Rowan Atkinson!!!!!
Seriously, is that a black adder? I'm only really familiar with the pythons, boas, and snakes native to the American Midwest.
The wildlife that finds me most is bunnies. Bunnies, bunnies everywhere. Which means I often then have to go find my dog, who takes off after the bunnies.
Though in good news, I've heard that a couple of antelope herds have been seen north of here, and that is VERY uncommon east of the Missouri River in South Dakota, especially as close as I am to Minnesota.

Sweet! Its been a long time since I have seen a moose. I was in Algonquian Park doing a portage and we came face to face with a cow she just eyed us up and down then slowly walked back into the woods.
I saw a Bull about 50yrds off once ,,, all I can say is WOW they are impressive.

*sigh* I lived for 27 years in New England and never once saw a moose.

really, I was portaging in Algonquin Park when I was hit by a bolt of lightning and had the canoe welded to my head. Thus I became Mr. Canoehead, Canada's greatest aluminium crime fighter. Brother of Ted.Sabrefan7 wrote:I was in Algonquian Park doing a portage...
