Re: Loveland Area Caches Gone
all of my files go directly to my Google and Flicar accounts. Automatically? I mean, you take a photo with your phone and it ends up in your flickr account automatically? that's neat. then just use a link to your photos (although I will add that uploading them to the OCNA site is the best way to pr...

Re: Loveland Area Caches Gone
. Am I really the only person that has a problem resizing images to upload to this site? I did manage to resize and upload one for my web cam. No, you're not. Yes resizing images is a pain and for a while I just posted the photo to Flickr and them linked them into my listings or logs. The change to...

Re: Loveland Area Caches Gone
Not going to add too much to the above discussion except to comment on the benchmark cache type. It's not the same as waymarking, IMO it will be better. Two reasons: 1) every benchmark that can be listed will be listed exactly as it is - a benchmark. Not a US benchmark, not a Canadian benchmark, etc...

Re: Loveland Area Caches Gone
There are no "active" alternative cachers in my area - closest active location really is Buffalo NY (the "home" of OCNA HQ, been there!). But there were a number of what I'll call high caliber cachers who hid a number of quality caches around 2009-2011 on OCNA and TC. And because they were quality a...

Re: Loveland Area Caches Gone
MPH, do you have facts and figures to back up your statements about stale data on OCNA or are you just making assumption? My DNF rate on OCNA pretty low. Just because the cache is old, just because it's never been found or hasn't been found in a long time, and just because the CO has become inactive...

Reviving archived G$ virtual caches
Cross-posting this to a number of forums and facebook groups, since they seem to each have their own cluster of users (also because at best I might get two responses from each of those forums) If you see this more than once – great! Well done, you are a well-rounded multi-website-using-geocacher! Ea...

Re: Couple minor things
Hold off longer if you can still get the multiple things done at once, if that saves any time money or frustration. I just brought it up to keep it on the horizon, but really there's no rush. Winter's a good way away still and listing benchmarks seems like a good task to put off until winter. Thanks...

Couple minor things
So I saw the recent FB post about OCNA hotspots and in the process of trying to figure out how many OCNA caches are in Ontario, found a minor things but will bring them up all the same When you do a cache search, you can select to hide inactive caches. What is an inactive cache? there is nothing on ...

Re: Pokémon Go
There is a geocaching site with a points system, it nicely shows you your ranking in relation to geocache types and location. The longer a cache is unfound, the more points it's worth. Pretty neat system IMO. Guess how well it is doing right now. But if GC implements such a system, 65% of the player...

Re: Pokémon Go
I am very curious to know how the PG game compares to Monster Cache - not in terms of quality or development, but in terms of concept. when I learned of PG I immediately thought of monster cache. I know nothing about either and have no plans to change that. It just doesn't appeal to me. Manville, wh...
