Re: Cache Sizes - Feedback Sought
Scanning the code is probably more likely to be used by someone not familiar with OCNA and BITs and may be the first time they become aware of OCNA Right, and that is worth something. the first BIT I placed was purposefully set to be very visible. Chainlink fence beside a busy sidewalk at eye level...

Re: Cache Sizes - Feedback Sought
I guess I confused them with Munzee and compared them with nanos that are log only crap. :? So nothing would be wrong with attaching one to a small cache, like taping them inside a dry box or an altoids tin then? Please don't cram one into a nano. If a cache is small enough to be swallowed, it shou...

Re: User name change.
I think the "Urban Legend of Opie" is a sad story about a southerner named Manny who knows how to hide caches in great locations. But his evil twin Opie comes along about once each year and archives them all. Leaving poor Manny to start all over again, slowly creating new and interesting listings. Y...

Re: User name change.
Manville, I see your new signature is "Stealth not required". With your name change and all, I can;t help but think of this guy: http://www.notaboutthenumbers.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/stealthrtox.jpg Here's one of the last emails I had with him, which obviously didn't go anywhere: 7 May 2013 H...

Why would you do that? That squirrel is dead, it died from neglect and starvation.

Re: New Benchmark cache type
I posted to the Indiana Benchmarking and Geocaching group, a FB group that I'm a member of (it's the only benchmark hunting group that I could find on FB, other that the other type of "benchmark hunting") Anyway, I was hoping to get some suggestions / comments / interest. A few days now and nothing....

Re: Coffee Peddlers lonely caches...1 down, 2 to go
Wow, a long-time geocacher (2003) in London just signed up to OCNA (actually he signed up to TC and I encouraged him to also check out OCNA - maybe he was going to anyway but I'm taking the credit :D ). He signed up and in one day knocks off simrebels "new" webcam AND finds one of the two unfound Co...

Re: Off the TV Grid
It's bump an old thread day ;) Been using OTA now for 6 years. Easy for us since we don't watch a lot of TV anyway. Add netflix for a few months in the winter and an ever-growing number of shows we can stream on the laptop plus an Amazon Fire TV stick and a Roku2 and we have lots more crap to watch ...

Re: Opie is now out of the picture
Well I tried a few Goggle searches in a "safe window" (in hopes of not influencing the results based on past site visits - no idea how that works) and I have to say that OCNA continues to rank poorly in terms of search results. To me it doesn't add up since my cache listing get many views and you kn...

Re: Benchmark cache type
so when the site started to act up and I heard some recent activity might be lost I went and copied my "latest entries" in case they were lost. It's really nothing important but since I have it saved I might as well restore it. I remember there being a few more MPH comments and wish I copied those a...
