Re: Benchmark cache type

Benchmarks are disks, but not bolts or other type survey markers. According to who? There are many different type. There must be at least 20 types on the ones listed on geocaching.com based on this Benchmark Types challenge cache. https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC4V2V1_benchmarks-by-type-chall...

Re: Benchmark cache type

I have a number of things to say about this cache type and will say them as time permits. But here's the most unusual of all my ideas, I'll throw it out there first and see where it goes. At groundspeak you can log Benchmarks (of the few that are available to be logged) but you cannot post them (at ...

Re: Reviving archived G$ virtual caches

The COs decision to log his own listing is his decision, and not a reflection of the site. I see it done all the time on groundspeak sites. That is purely a matter of person opinion. I think Terracaching is the only site where you cannot log a find on you own cache. Wait a minute, I don't see any op...

Re: Reviving archived G$ virtual caches

I have my idea of what I would like my OCNA BM Cache listing to look like, and I think it would be great to have it's own thread to discuss them. I have really enjoyed listing them on the Waymarking site. Hopefully here they will be more than just something that somebody took a picture of and liste...

Re: Reviving archived G$ virtual caches

So I see another archived GS virtual is now listed on OCNA. This is one of the First Post virtuals, a cool collection of virtual's in each Canadian provincial capital city. http://www.opencaching.us/viewcache.php?wp=OU0A31 I am confused however that the listing is linked to the archived GS listing ...

Re: Like Minds

I dropped one of my three travel bugs / moving caches into a GC cache in Athen TX when we were there in early June. Put a watch on that cache and it'd had a few finders since then but no mention of the bug. Then today I received these messages: [LOG] Owner: DavidBettyThompson retrieved OPEN Ambassad...

Re: Loveland Area Caches Gone

all of my files go directly to my Google and Flicar accounts. Automatically? I mean, you take a photo with your phone and it ends up in your flickr account automatically? that's neat. then just use a link to your photos (although I will add that uploading them to the OCNA site is the best way to pr...

Re: Loveland Area Caches Gone

. Am I really the only person that has a problem resizing images to upload to this site? I did manage to resize and upload one for my web cam. No, you're not. Yes resizing images is a pain and for a while I just posted the photo to Flickr and them linked them into my listings or logs. The change to...

Re: Loveland Area Caches Gone

Not going to add too much to the above discussion except to comment on the benchmark cache type. It's not the same as waymarking, IMO it will be better. Two reasons: 1) every benchmark that can be listed will be listed exactly as it is - a benchmark. Not a US benchmark, not a Canadian benchmark, etc...
