Re: Cache Idea

Can this not be done on the OCUS site? Would we have to go to another site to set these up??? The other site will simply be informational. Re: Cache Idea

All the icons are created and online, the Wiki has been updated and now all that is left is to code the www.BITcaching.com site. I decided that BIT will stand for Bound Information Tag since the tag will be bound (laminated) in most cases. the goal is to simply have it referred to as "bitcaching".

Re: Cache Idea

LOL, I guess I better get to work on the icons and such. I received lots of positive feedback on the idea across the various places I mentioned it. I did get one "meh". :)

I should have something ready by tomorrow along with a set of guidelines for creating and placing them.

Re: Cache Idea

Yes, a QR code could be incorporated on the tag that could take you directly to the cache page. So how about some potential names for this? I thought about it and wanted a catchy name for it, but everything I thought of was either a trademark or associated with something else. So I thought some more...

Cache Idea

Re: Challenge to place more caches

I can send out the mass email to all registered users who have opted to receive bulletins. I would rather not ask for donations or have any sort of fee, that's not what we are about, but I do appreciate your ideas.

Second line reads "manage_ocpl-todo".

Fixed. Thanky. :)

Re: Munzee

From what I understand, scanning the Munzee records the find. For those that want to sign logs, there are standard geocaches. For everyone else, there's Munzee. Wait, did that almost sound like a MasterCard commercial? :)
