Re: Printed BIT
The regular bar code does nothing, only the QR code. I guess I should remove it to avoid confusion. The bitcaching.com site explains the game whereas someone just going to OCUS would have to search the Wiki for what to do. No doubt, the tags will be refined as time goes on.

Re: Events Don't Count as Finds?
You got credit for the 6 actual caches, right? I'll have to ask the devs about events counting or not.

Re: Question on Moving Caches
You can if you like... if it were me, once it had been moved the first time, I would add to the description "This cache is no longer at the posted coordinates. Please see the logs to find the current location."

Re: Difference between OCUS BIT and Munzee
I posted this on their forum: As far as similarities go, BITcaches don't use a serial encoded bar code or a serial number at all on the cache tags. The QR code, generated by Google, simply points to the cache listing, the same way the countless other QR codes already in existence generally point to ...

Re: What is BIT Caching(tm)?
Yes, stand alone. If you use a container, you then have a traditional cache where a log sheet would be standard. This cache type is to allow placement in many more places where a container would not be appropriate or feasible. They are meant to be an alternative cache type and not to infringe on any...

What is BIT Caching(tm)?
We have a new cache type called a BIT cache(tm). BIT stands for "Bound ID Tag" to represent that the cache tag is bound in plastic, better known as laminating it. There is no container and no log book but it is still a physical cache. After getting their coordinates the hider creates the cache...

Re: Cache Idea
I like the idea and the QR code still being on the BITcache game piece so those of us who can read QR codes still can if we choose to. So will this be an BITcache app or will any QR code reader do? Any phone that can read QR codes will be able to scan them. All the QR code will do is take you to th...
