Excellent!
Exactly the stuff I was thinking of.
Thanx!

Re: Central PA
Hear, here!
Lets see if OCUS can offer up quality caches, with out all the lame stuff, and bring cachers closer to what geocaching used to be like...
Its all up to us as hiders to help move this along.

Re: Cross-Posted Items
Cross posting caches is a double-edged sword..a two-sided coin. Yes cross-posting gets the word out there about OCUS, and your cross posted cache will get tons of traffic. But more than likely, right now, 98% of that will be from GC. I'll give you my opinion on this, and everyone can take it for wha...

Process for getting approval from NY DEC for WMA placements
I thought I would throw out a couple of my experiences with getting permission for placements on DEC WMAs. I havent really seen this info posted anywhere. Please reply if you have anything to add, or had a differing experience. A couple years ago, I contacted the main DEC office in Buffalo, and aske...

Re: Cross-Posted Items
Good point RVRT.
WHenever I cross listed, or posted an NC cache only, I always put the "alternative" website on the front cover, under the name of the cache. I figured if someone was already seeking the cache, 9 times out of 10 they probably had already heard of GC.

Re: Cross listed caches
Kewl. I was just wondering if OCUS was planning on being as proactive as, well, OUR, local GC reviewer (SapienceTrek) is on getting something done about problem caches.

Re: Cross-Posted Items
I'm only going to do it to one cache just to help give awareness to this site. It's unfortunate I can put on the OCUS cache page it's crosslisted but not the other way around, hence the reason for the 2 log books. Btw...I never have seen a cache with 2 logbooks either :) I'm an underdog kinda guy, ...

Re: Previewing a cache submission.
I was thinking along the same lines as GOF.
Just seems like it would save the "reviewers" some work trying to approve half-done caches.
Not to mention, what if someone submits one "undone", it gets approved, and then the CO completes setting it up, with something that may not fly?

Re: GSAK
As a very satisfied user of GSAK, I HIGHLY recommend it. Its one of the best written pieces of software I have ever seen.
