I'm really excited for this show. I like puzzles and history, so this show is a perfect mix.
So yeah, tune in to the History channel this Thursday to catch the premier. Oh, and did I mention there is a contest ;)

I'm so looking forward to it. Hopefully it's not too lame. Tonight is about the missing White House Cornerstone.

Looks like the clue is a color wheel. Now to find the hidden code...

Watching the show, now. Interesting. Kind of cool seeing the Scottish Rites Temple. I attended a geocaching event hosted by the newly formed Masonic Geocaching Society last year and we got a tour, including the library and the main lodge room.

Did anybody see the hidden message? I didn't see anything. Good thing I recorded it :) I think I'm gonna be watching that baby a couple more times.

It looks very interesting indeed. I love old buildings, especially ones with so much history like that. I'd love to get to DC some day to see all there is to see :)

Lots of virtuals in downtown DC, too, including a few (so far) on OCUS.

What were you thoughts on the show itself? Gotta say, I was kind of disappointed. It didn't really have a lot of build up or even info on the cornerstones. It seemed to me like it was just them blaming the Masons, then going, "well, okay, maybe it's not really missing." Sooo....what did that show? I thought they were solving mysteries or something.

I did have a thought on the Truman thing though. It said he got a "ping" then stopped the search. I bet he did indeed find it. And by find it, I mean, finally figured out what corner of the building it was actually in. He stopped the search, because it wasn't meant to be opened. The stones he sent to the various lodges were a message. The message being "All is good, the stone is found." That seems the most likely explanation to me.

Yeah, while it was interesting, it seemed a bit contrived. Kind of like a lot of the paranormal / mystery shows. I enjoy Ghost Hunters and Destination truth (both on SyFy), not because I think there is anything to what they're "investigating", but because I just find them entertaining. The shows that take themselves too seriously, don't interest me.

I'll probably check out more of the series for a while, though.

Your thoughts on Truman seem to make perfect sense. If he found it, what else was he supposed to do? Like you said, it's not like it was meant to be opened. And while Truman was "searching" for it, that wasn't the primary reason that gutted the White House and was probably not a major issue. They probably just figured it was a good time to see if they could figure out which corner it was in.
