I was fortunate enough to find six OC caches on 11 Oct 2010 in Mt Gilead, OH. At that time these were the only OCUS caches in Ohio. Since then, I've added several more of my own. Two of them are OCUS exclusive. One is a virtual that is similar to an Earthcache in that it requires the finder to conduct an educational task and take photographs in order to log the find. So far this cache has not been logged, but I'm patient. It's named "A Pine Romance". I wish OCUS all the best and I'm anxious for more new caches to get published in SW Ohio.

Thats great DJ! Have you had the chance to name drop OCUS in a local form at all? That is how I found about the site in the first place. Cache on!

Found three OC cache yesterday and two were cross posted. That brings me to 11 OC caches found. I ignored the cross posted caches on the other site so as not to cross find them. I've yet to place a physical cache on this site.

Cyclops, Did you place all the great caches on Mackinac Island? My wife and I found 25 of them last summer when we visited the island.

That's what I do. I log crosslisted caches on just one site and post a note on any other sites. I just recently started also ignoring the "other" listings.Cyclops wrote:I ignored the cross posted caches on the other site so as not to cross find them.

Is 10 a milestone? If so, it hit yesterday on our way home from New Orleans.

Sure is! Now you get to recommend a cache to others.

I also had a milestone of types today. I'm now officially a Geocaching Merit Badge Counselor for BSA and have my first 4 "candidates" today, during our troop's Merit Badge Bashe.

Re: Milestones - Share Yours Here
I found my 2500th geocache yesterday!
My day included...
4 OpenCachingUS virtuals (3 FTF's),
6 Geocaching.com traditionals,
2 TerraCaches (1 virt & 1 locationless).
My primary destinations were Arlington National Cemetery and Great Falls National Park, with a few in McLean in between, to ensure I hit 2500 at Great Falls.
At ANC, I got to see the changing of the guard for the Tomb of the Unknown, for the first time. Very moving.
My actual milestone was The Remains of the Town by rob3k. This was my 21st OCUS find and I was also able to claim the much overdue FTF.
Like my fancy sign?
