GeoGet - A free GSAK alternative

OCNA Challenge caches are coming in 2 days. This is Sunday morning, and I'm feverishly working on the first 17 as we speak, for release on Tuesday, April 28th. Why then? I figured exactly one week to the day after the Groundspeak Challenge Cache moratorium would be kinda cute. In case you hadn't heard the leaked info, they will be owned by a special admin account "OCNAChallenges", and will be locationless, so to speak. You qualify, you get to log it. Ironically enough, something similar has been proposed in the Groundspeak forums as a way to keep them alive after the one year moratorium. There are many other proposals too of course. By regular players I mean, not Groundspeak employees.

So here ya' go GeoGet I'd describe it as a GSAK clone, written by a developer from the cache-crazed Czech Republic. Our version of a "my finds pocket query" works fine in it. Tested with a gpx gc file.

I'm no expert, but this would be the place to discuss using GeoGet.

I barely scratched the surface with gsak and lost interest in days. In sure there is a lot that can be done but I didn't see the need for much of it.

Pleased to see an alternative. What will the gsak years have to complain about? In sure they will find something.

I might give out a try too see if it can maintain my interest.

Thanks MrYuck for the info about GeoGet. Looking forward to the challenges (not that I will qualify for many with only 4 OCNA finds so far), and yes I noticed that suggestion came up in the GS forums. I pipped in about the OCNA challenges but decided against it. But the timing is quite interesting.

Do you know if there is any workaround for us Mac users?
