800th Active Cache on OCNA

Post by DudleyGrunt » Thu Mar 15, 2012 1:25 pm

With 3 newly published caches from cclip, we now have 800 active caches.

#800 - Sand Lee Park Caches - OU03FE

BTW, cclip has quickly become the 3rd ranked cacher by number of caches placed (37). Also, North Carolina is now the 3rd ranked state by number of caches (70), after Texas (131) and Maryland (75).

If you find yourself in the Raleigh, NC area (to the SW), you'll have plenty of OCNA caches to hunt. Then you could head over to Charlotte and grab a bunch more. That's what I hope to do for a weekend trip, some time.

I'll be in Raleigh next week. Hope to see what I can do about grabbing some while there.

I see now that they are a little out of my route. I'll still try to make time to pick up a few.

Listed 5 new caches east of Charlotte today now that I am no longer the top hider for NC.
Brings NC up to a tie with Maryland for the #2 spot with 75

And most of those cclip caches appear to be OCNA only? Yes, people need to get out there and find them! Great to have them on board. I also notice OCNA is going to go over 4,000 registered members any day now. This is seen right here in the forums the Members link in the right corner almost at the top. Yes, only a tiny portion of them are active, but I've got news for you, the exact same thing happens at Geocaching.com. People join OCNA every single day. Sometimes it's only like 2, but they're joining!

20 of my 23 active caches listed on OCNA are OCus only. There are a few more around Charlotte that are as well. Most are on the east side making for a fairly dense collection.
