We are primarily the US node for Opencaching but we certainly want to accommodate our Canadian friends so here is your very own forum. We're not sure who parked the domain name "opencaching.ca" or if they have plans to start up that node... but anyway, you are always welcome here!

Re: Welcome to the Canadian forum!
I see that Canada has now been added to the OpenCaching.eu site, but guess they'll be using something other than .ca (it is not currently available as a link).

It is likely glorkar that registered it, based on his comment.

If he did, that's cool, but some one also added Canada to the OC UE map, so it looks like they are working on getting in going.

In all honesty, it was not me! It's some guy named Kevin Duncan with Shining Mountain Ventures Inc. Looks like the company is based out of Calgary.

Re: Welcome to the Canadian forum!
I know Kevin via another caching related website. Some folks prefer to attempt to keep their real and caching names separate, but I'll drop him a note and see if he is working with OC to launch the Canada site and if he'd like to come on here and share any plans.glorkar wrote:In all honesty, it was not me! That'd be great! We love our Canadian friends here, and if we can give them another local resource, it will help the caching community all around

Re: Welcome to the Canadian forum!
I heard back from Kevin and he said he acquired it because he in interested in gettting the site going, but doesn't know where to go next. I invited him over here and specifically suggested he talk to Jerry about the process. I let him know Canada-friendly have even have a Canada forum and have had a couple caches published up north, so far.
