Thanks for checking out the maps, and checking in Tripman1! I actually have a couple things for you. First, I knew we had a couple of virtuals in Philadelphia, but I didn't realize (or did and forgot) that one of them was yours. If everything goes according to plan, and it should, I will find that in a little over 3 weeks.tripman1 wrote:Looks great. I really like the ability to check the terrain box. It helps in the mountains to not always travel as the crow flies.
Just passing through Philly. I'd normally loop around on Interstates, but we have the virts, and there are a couple of Groundspeak virts. I should be there on a Saturday afternoon, which will work good for traffic. I'm probably going to try red markers, and will bump the old thread to report my results.tripman1 wrote:Good luck in Philly as well as with the map. I enojoyed the caches when I was there. I look forward to see the map changes, thanks for the updates.
I've seen that, and it downright sucks that a user from Maryland dropped that moving cache in an outstanding location on the way to a May 2000 placed cache, and no one has picked it up. On the bright side, people are sometimes hesitant to move a moving cache, and it could very well have been found a few times in it's current location, and people don't want to move it. Of course if it has, they haven't logged it online on this website. But we are used to people downloading and finding our caches, and not bothering to log them here. As a matter of fact, the No. 1 cache finder in New York is known to do this, although I haven't run into him in a while and asked him about it.Sabrefan7 wrote:Just playing with the maps again, I can get over how great they are working. I did notice something I had forgotten about, a long stranded moving cache near GC39 AKA The Spot. I hope to go on a rescue mission soon
