Re: Letterbox Type
Any ideas on this? Queries uploaded to GSAK still show Letterboxes as Unknown types.

I don't know. George?
We may need to contact GSAK.
We may need to contact GSAK.
Re: Letterbox Type
I noticed today that the GPX file says <type>Geocache|Unknown Cache</type> on Letterboxes. That might be the problem. It should probably say Geocache|Letterbox Hybrid so that it matches in GSAK.

Hopefully, this is something that Mr.Yuck will be able to resolve, now that he is on board.
Re: Letterbox Type
Not only that, BIT caches and Guestbook caches show up as <type>Geocache|Unknown Cache</type> in a .gpx file. I simply downloaded some, and viewed them as text in Microsoft word. Nothing in our database suggests these should be called anything but what they are:NativTxn wrote:I noticed today that the GPX file says <type>Geocache|Unknown Cache</type> on Letterboxes. What I think needs to be done is post in the topografix.com forums. They actually invented the .GPX format, not GSAK. Wish me luck. I didn't have much luck getting a problem solved with this forum software in the phpbb forum.

Re: Letterbox Type
Bad luck, actually. But I didn't forget this one, and have hopes for it. No response in the Topografix forums, even though it's pretty much shown itself to be people asking questions, and the Topografix admin himself (and no one else) answering them. However, I've since learned that .gpx files are always generated from .xml web pages, and I've found the two .xml pages which I believe to generate all our .gpx files on the server. I actually went in and did some edits I was pretty confident were going to work, but nope, no dice. However, I haven't tried the gpsbabel forums, and I'm guessing I can get some help there. Don't wish me luck this time though, didn't work the first time!DudleyGrunt wrote:Good luck!Mr.Yuck wrote:Wish me luck.

Thanks for keeping plugging away at this little problem.
