My understanding is one in which you download and mp3, which will contain instructions you'd follow in the field.

I am not familiar with this. I assume you need to place a jump drive or other digital storage media in the cache container that will need to downloaded by...your laptop;i guess ? ?

The cache hider would upload the MP3 file to the cache page at the time of submission. Finders would download the file and play it on their laptop/mp3-player. The coordinates on the cache page might take the finder to the starting point, and the MP3 gives additional info for finding the cache. One example: the hider takes you on a tour of his home town, collecting clues to the final along the way.

Here are two examples of caches listed on gc.com, both are excellent caches. OC appears to be much more open to concept caches so I'm looking forward to what develops here.
