The Mayan's couldn't even invent metal tools, hundreds of years after they were already in use in Europe. I highly doubt they will accurately predict the end of the world.

Sorry, didn't check in here for a few days, Merry Christmas to all. Hope you got what you wanted. I personally received a new Magellan GPS and had no clue I was getting.

I picked up my new Garmin (sigh) GPSMap62ST, using a bit of my insurance money from my recent accident. I was planning on getting it soon, but it turns out that I ended up cracking the screen of my 60CSx on some rocks.

Oh yes, I get the RSS feed of the latest log entries (which works flawlessly, I might add), and saw that about your vehicle a month or two ago. Sorry to hear that! I had a plain old Garmin 60 (identical, except for the electronics inside to the 60 CSx), and I never cracked the screen in 7 years! It had other issues though. For example, the wife saw me banging it to get the display to work properly last month, and decided to get me the Magellan. I'm told I also bad-mouthed Garmin when she asked about it, and that's why she got the Magellan!! I actually would have preferred Delorme or even Lowrance, but hey, I'll roll with it. 100% paperless, the whole description, hints, and even recent logs.

That reminds me, I'm gonna download a OCUS cache or two in the sucker right after I type this, and see how it looks.

EDIT: Well, I had to find an FAQ on the Magellan web site, and use the "Groundspeak GPX" file from a search page, but the paperless capability to Magellan works just fine. I will start another thread in the proper area though.
